Our story begins back in 1987 when our founder and CEO Bruce Wilson launched WILSON TECHNOLOGY, a custom legal software provider. In 2005, Wilson Technology was acquired by Elite – a division of Thomson Reuters, and key members of Wilson’s team then became responsible for Elite’s newly formed business intelligence group.
As the impact of the Great Recession of the late 2000’s reached the legal community, many law firms began downsizing internal resources, creating demand for external services. Bruce responded to this need and launched a new stand-alone business, WILSON LEGAL SOLUTIONS, in 2009.
In 2018, Wilson Legal Solutions merged with STANTON ALLEN, a UK-based CRM and business development data consultancy, and formed WILSON ALLEN. Further expansion followed with organic growth and the acquisition of specialist training consultancy, CAPENSYS, in 2020.
Today, WILSON ALLEN brings together many of the original team from Wilson Technology with talented new colleagues and rising stars within the legal and professional services technology community.
